This wasn't what I expected when I ordered it. But it is definitely something I wish someone had given to me and my husband when we had our first born so many years ago.
Honestly, you may look at the cards and think "duh, obviously you should tell your wife nice things" but I think we forget how hard those early days are. Hormones and sleep schedules and regular routines are out of whack. These cards are a super easy reminder to do the "obvious" things that will truly become all too easy to overlook and discount when you've suddenly got a baby to care for.
I love that this is a "gift for mom" and a "gift for dad" because as mom who definitely battled the baby blues, everything felt really hard for a while after giving birth and it was so incredibly difficult to explain what I wanted/needed to my husband. And while my husband is a super sweet and super loving and amazing dad, the communication clash was hard. A simple note card reminding a new dad to do an "obvious" thing will be very helpful for both mom and dad - it's a clever solution to ensure the new parents are taken care of and celebrated in a very clear cut and accessible way.
